Beautiful hair

The results of CHI Silk Infusion and Jose Eber curling tong. Beautiful and bouncy curls which lasts for a long time, until you wash your hair.

I love the CHI Silk Infusion. It smells really good. You only need 1 or 2 drops for all your hair- yes even long hair. It protects your hair from heat when you use a flat iron, curling tong, or hair dryer. It leaves your hair feeling very soft, smooth and shiny. When you apply it before you curl your hair, it makes your curls very bouncy. Its amazing. I just wish it was cheaper and more accessible. Its not available in Singapore.

Anna- Beauty Potraits

1st look: Minimal, fresh and natural. Anna has naturally good skin, so I used only a bit of liquid foundation- Clinique Superfit and set it with a mineral veil loose powder.

2nd look:

Shimmery brown and taupe shades on her eyes, natural pink-nude blush, nude lips and black liquid eyeliner give her a more sophisticated look.

3rd look:

Emo doll. Very dramatic faux eyelashes and eyeliner, lots of bright pink blush, a Barbie pink lip gloss completes the look.

Dont worry I am a makeup artist, and have no experience cutting hair whatsoever...but I am sure its going to be just fine.

It turned out okay! Its funny how I can cut other people's fringe but I cant cut my own. Meh.

Blue Flash

I love these photos. He used macro lens, the photos are so sharp that when I zoom in, I can see the tiny facial hairs and every pore on her skin. Its amazing.

This was supposed to be a creative makeup shoot, but I was so sick that day my mind was a complete blank.

I've just recovered from a very bad flu. Is it just me, or is everyone falling sick these days?

Marilyn

I did makeup for this lovely young lady a couple of months ago. And I really love how the photos turned out!

Marilyn has very good, almost flawless skin. I gave her a very light natural base, with soft neutral taupe and browns on her eyes enhanced with some faux eyelashes, a sweet mauve-pink blush to liven up her cheeks and a neutral pink lip color to complement her fair skin.

We had a lovely time shooting that afternoon as well.

6. Bridal Actual Day and Evening makeup + hairdo $450

7. Optional styling for groom $95

-Light makeup to cover dark eye rings, blemishes etc. Hair styling with hair gel, wax or clay.

All Bridal Makeup sessions include makeup base, one pair faux eyelashes, eyebrow shaping, hair styling, body shimmer, transportation. Hair accessories not provided.

8. Complete Bridal package:

Trial + ROM + Bridal Photo studio shoot 2 x Makeup and Hair + Bridal wedding Actual Day and Evening + Styling for Groom $800

(For the above complete package, 30% non refundable deposit payable upon confirmation.)

20% discount applicable for minimum two sessions of bridal makeup.

(For ie: Trial $120 + ROM $200 + Actual Day $450= $770. After less 20% is 616.)

FAQs:

1. How long does it take to do makeup and hairdo?
About 1- 1.5 hours. Bridal makeup and hair 2-2.5 hours.

2. Where do you do the makeup? Can you come to my home?
I can come to your home or the hotel, whichever location is more convenient for you.

3. Do I need to wash my face and hair before the makeup session?
Yes, I need a clean bare face and clean dry hair to work on. I recommend washing and blow-drying hair the night before. Cleanse, tone and moisturize 15-30 mins before makeup commences.

4. Do I need to pay deposit to confirm the booking?
For normal makeup, there is no need to pay a deposit. I will collect payment on the day itself after the makeup and hair is done.

5. Do you accept payment by cheques?
No, I only accept cash payment.

Cheque payment is only accepted for bridal package deposit. (Balance to be paid for in cash upon completion of makeup and hair services on Actual Day.)

6. I dont see any photos of your bridal makeup on your blog. Do you have any of your previous work to show me?

I do not take photos of or use photos of my cilents on my blog, because I understand that some people may not be comfortable with their photos being on the internet.

Thanks for your understanding.

Please arrange for a trial session, if you would like to try out the makeup and hairdo, before the actual day.

7. What is a personal makeup course? And do you come to my place?

I provide basic makeup lessons to people who wish to learn how to do makeup properly. I can go to your home.

Its best to get a friend who's also keen to join in, because then I can demonstrate on one, and the other can watch. Most people own quite a lot of makeup products but do not know how to use them properly. I advise people on how to use the products they already have, to enhance their features so they can look their best.

If you do not own any makeup, I can also advise you on the basic makeup items you can get based on your skin type, skin tone and the kind of makeup looks you wish you achieve, keeping in mind your budget.

8. What brands of cosmetics do you use?

I use a variety of professional makeup from M.A.C, Bobbi Brown, Makeup Forever, The Makeup Store, Clinique, Shu Uemura, and mineral cosmetics from mineral makeup brands like Everyday Minerals and Silk Naturals.

So far, I have never encountered anyone getting an allergic or unpleasant reaction from the makeup I use on them.

I use a new cosmetic sponge for everyone and I always wash my hands with antibacterial soap before starting the makeup. I clean and sanitize all my makeup brushes before I use them on my clients, especially the eye makeup brushes and lip brushes. Same thing for all my combs and hair brushes.

Its very important to maintain a high standard of hygiene when I do makeup on so many different people.

9. Do you use ampoules for Bridal makeup?

I do not use ampoules by default for bridal makeup. Because ampoules are meant to be skincare, not part of your makeup. The weather in Singapore is very warm and humid, and most people have combination/ oily skin. Ampoules are very rich and very moisturizing, applying it before your makeup will make your skin oily very fast and thus will cause your makeup to streak and "melt".

I prefer to use a mattifying makeup base instead, which will smoothen out skin texture, fill up pores, provide a good base for makeup to glide on and also help it last for hours without streaking/ fading.

If you have very dry skin, and prefer me to use an ampoule prior to the bridal makeup, you can request for it. I will provide it at no extra cost. My main concern is to make sure your makeup goes on smoothly and lasts the whole day/ night.
